The Lafayette County School District Board of Trustees is in need of filling an open seat.

District 1 member Brent Larson had to step away from his duties on the school board due to winning the District 1 Lafayette County supervisor seat in last November’s election.

Anyone interested in the seat may submit a letter of interest and a résumé to Lafayette County school superintendent Dr. Adam Pugh at adam.pugh@lafayettecountyschools.net or can deliver it to the district’s central office at the Lafayette High School campus. Applications can also be mailed to the central office.

State law requires the seat be filled within 60 days. During their regular meeting on Jan. 6, the school board decided the deadline to submit resumes will be Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
