Lessie Goode Belk, 56, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at her home in Oxford. The funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan.12, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Cochet officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The visitation will be held in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, from 11:30 a.m. until service time.

Born in West Point, Miss., to Thomas Guinn Goode and Eleanor Elizabeth Coleson Gibbs, Lessie enjoyed and loved being with her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Guinn Goode. Mrs. Belk is survived by her husband of 36 years, Frank Belk; two sons, Will Belk and John Michael Belk, both of Oxford; mother, Eleanor Gibbs, of Lebanon, Tenn.; and two brothers, Tom Goode, Jr., of Tampa, Fla., and Michael Goode, of Ridgeland, Miss.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Belk’s memory may be made any charity of the donor’s choice.
