An investigation by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department into a complaint of sexual battery resulted in the arrest of a Lafayette County man.

Charles “Dave” Darby was arrested by the sheriff’s department on Jan. 17, after an investigation that took place the previous night. Darby, 28 of Oxford, is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center on the charge of sexual battery and was issued a bond of $10,000.
