An Oxford man is facing a domestic violence charge stemming from an altercation last week.

On March 13, investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a residence in the area of Highway 334 to take a report of a domestic assault. After an investigation was conducted, investigators arrested James Sartin, 44, and took him to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

Sartin was booked on a charge of aggravated domestic violence and given a bond of $20,000. He was released on March 16, according the sheriff’s department.
