After clouds of serious concern late last week, Ole Miss basketball student manager Gray Spencer is responsive and showing significant improvement following an accident that left him in critical condition.

Spencer, an Ole Miss junior in his second year as a manager for the men’s basketball team, was involved in a serious car accident a week ago on Highway 30. Fighting for his life, he had to be put in a medically induced coma a week ago just to get by. However, over the weekend there was some positive news.

In a video shared on Twitter by Ole Miss director of basketball operations Thomas Gray, Spencer was seen working through some range-of-motion activities with a nurse, both responsive and capable of full-body mobility.

The Rebels basketball program has set up a GoFundMe account to help the Spencer family pay for his medical expenses, to which you can donate by following this link. At time of publication, the fundraiser has already surpassed its $5,000 goal; however, all donations could still go a long way to help the family, especially in these times of uncertainty.
