Catherine Lauretta Cain Hudson, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Lady of the Lakes Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. A private graveside service will be held in Yellow Leaf Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Fowler officiating. 

Born in Lafayette County, Miss., Mrs. Hudson was the widow of Mr. David L. Hudson and was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a longtime employee of Star Cleaners where she worked in billing and as a clerk. Mrs. Hudson was a loyal member of the Yocona Club with the Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers-Mississippi State University Extension Service and won an award for 50 years of service. Activities of the club that she participated in included making quilts for the Ronald McDonald House. She also enjoyed volunteering at the North Mississippi Regional Center, the Care Center, and the Food Pantry. Crocheting and textiles were some of her favorite pastimes. 

Survivors include two daughters, Laura Hudson Kesler, of Abbeville, Miss., and Margaret Lynn Cox, of Prairieville, La.; a son, William David Hudson (Debra), of Columbus, Miss.; a brother, Ray Cain (Norma), of Oxford; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
