One of Oxford’s signature hotels on the Downtown Square is beginning to reopen its doors.

The Graduate Oxford announced on Tuesday they will reopen The Coop, the hotel’s rooftop bar, on Wednesday, May 27 at 4 p.m. The bar will be serving guests at 50 percent capacity in line with the Serving Oxford Safely ordinance and state guidelines.

Reopening the bar is the first step the hotel is taking in restarting and welcoming guests back since they closed on March 20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of their closure, The Graduate was one of two Oxford hotels to close their doors completely.

“As our communities begin to open back up, we’re excited to reopen our doors and serve you again. We’re working hard to ensure the safety of our guests and employees alike,” read a statement on the hotel’s website.

The Coop will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
