On October 24th, 2021, the Oxford Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Buchanan Avenue in reference to a domestic violence assault that had just taken place. Officers arrived and investigated the assault.

Tayler Beard, 25, of Oxford, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence. A Lafayette County Justice Court judge issued Beard a $20,000 bond.
