On November 23rd, 2021, the Oxford Police Department was contact by Child Protective Services about a case involving a child that tested positive for controlled substances.

After investigation, Shakerri Nicole Johnson, 31, of Oxford, was charged with Child Endangerment.

Johnson was taken into custody on December 3rd and issued a $10,000 bond by a Lafayette County Justice Court judge.
