Legendary South Panola football coach Ricky Woods announced his retirement as coach of the Tigers Tuesday, bringing an end to one of the most storied careers in Mississippi high school football.

Woods led the Tigers to four state championships and six regional championships, amassing a 118-18 record at SPHS.
