The Oxford Police Department took a walk-in report on Sunday regarding a sexual assault that occurred over the weekend.

After investigation, Adam Michael Prewett, 43, of Taylor, Mississippi was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery.

Prewett was taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge and issued a $20,000 bond.
