The Oxford Garden Club debuted its latest fundraiser on Thursday at the Oxford Conference Center, drawing a crowd of nearly 300 attendees for a special brunch.

Themed around holidays and fountains, the fundraiser aimed to support the installation of a new fountain in Lake Patsy at Pat Lamar Park—an initiative driven by club president Cindy Kirk.

“The whole point of the fundraiser is to put a fountain in Lake Patsy,” said Lynn Wells, a member of the Oxford Garden Club. “It’s for aeration, for health, for beauty—so the dogs can swim and the children can fish.”

The brunch featured 17 uniquely themed tablescapes, many inspired by holidays. From “Holly Jolly Geysers” for Christmas to “Bubbling Up Cauldrons” for Halloween, each table embodied a different vision of flowing water. The club members began brainstorming in October, pairing up to craft their elaborate designs.

“We told everyone to have a great time and let them get to work,” Wells said.

Tickets for the event were $50, with food provided by various local restaurants and caterers. A silent auction offered guests a chance to take home the stunning table decorations, and two local artists—Jessica Perkins and Judson Ridgway—donated artwork for a raffle.

Guests also enjoyed a mimosa bar while the Ole Miss Jazz Combo provided live music.

With a fundraising goal of $17,000, the club hopes to install the fountain by summer.
