The Oxford School District has implemented iPads at each of its nurses’ offices to support the remote monitoring of blood sugar levels for students with diabetes.
“I just wanted to say thank you to Oxford School District for continuing to be a leader in education and supporting our nurses in providing the best and most up to date medical care for our students,” said Director of Health and Wellness Nurse Erin Siskey.
Currently, every campus in the district has at least one student with diabetes. The integration of this technology helps ensure that these students receive timely and efficient care in responding to any changes in blood sugar levels.
This proactive approach to diabetes management not only enhances the safety and well-being of our students with diabetes but also fosters a sense of confidence and security to their families, knowing their children are receiving timely and personalized care even at school.
