A listing of local burglaries supplied by law enforcement agencies to warn residents to take extra security precautions:
— The Oxford Police Department reported two residential burglaries with one at Lexington Pointe apartments and another at University Trails apartments.
— The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department reported one residential burglary on Highway 7 South.
Oxford Police
Officers investigated 22 wrecks, issued 78 tickets and made 51 arrests on the following charges:
— Six for possession of drug paraphernalia
— Five warrants served
— 11 for public intoxication
— DUI
— Eight for consumption of alcohol on city streets
— Seven for minors in possession of alcohol
— Public intoxication and consumption of alcohol on city streets
— Speeding and possession of drug paraphernalia
— No driver’s license, no insurance and no seat belt
— Vagrancy
— Two for careless driving and DUI
— Domestic violence with simple assault
— Possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana
— Noise violation and DUI
— Driving the wrong way on a one-way street and DUI
— Reckless driving and DUI
— Public intoxication and possession of a fake ID
— Speeding, no insurance and driving while license suspended
Officers investigated the following reports:

— Three harassment complaints
— Two fire department assists
— Six for improper parking
— Six welfare checks
— 11 suspicious activities
— Six careless driving complaints
— 10 disturbances
— Six petty thefts

— Two simple assaults
— Two motorist assists
— Three recovered properties
— Six noise violations
— Three malicious mischief complaints
— Identity theft
— Two lost property reports
— Two 911 hang-ups

University Police
Officers issued 14 tickets, investigated one wreck and made six arrests on the follow charges:
— Possession of drug paraphernalia
— Possession of beer by person under 21
— Driving while license suspended and disregard of a traffic control device
— Three for public drunkenness
Officers investigated the following reports:
— Four service calls
— Trespassing
— Vandalism
— Larceny
Sheriff’s Department
Deputies investigated five wrecks and made eight arrests on the following charges:
— Two for simple assault and trespassing
— Simple assault on a minor
— Out-of-county warrant
— DUI refusal and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle
— Conspiracy to commit a crime
— Simple assault, trespassing and disturbing the peace
— Simple assault
Deputies investigated the following reports:
— Two alarms
— Four animal complaints
— Residential burglary (See above)
— Six disturbances
— Petty theft
— Three harassment complaints
— Three traffic complaints

Firefighters responded to the following calls:
— Report of a vehicle fire at 10:44 a.m. Friday at South Lamar Boulevard and Hooper Hollow; no fire
— A vaporizer pen activated an alarm at 3:44 p.m. Saturday at 906 Muirfield Drive; no fire
— Someone pulled a fire alarm as a prank at 11:43 p.m. Saturday at The Hub; no fire
— Wreck with entrapment at 10:16 a.m. Sunday at Cash Saver; helped remove patient
— Hairspray activated a smoke detector at 2:35 and 2:54 p.m. Sunday at the Phi Mu house on campus; no fire
— Kitchen fire at 12:41 this morning at Oak View apartments; extinguished
Lafayette County Fire
Firefighters responded to the following calls:
— Smell of smoke at 2:55 p.m. Saturday at 214 Sand Hill Drive; nothing found
— Structure fire at 7:33 p.m. Saturday at 118 County Road 313; extinguished
