It’s time once again for the Water Valley Arts Council’s famous — and award winning — Art Crawl.

If you’ve wondered what the big deal is about Water Valley, now is the perfect time to find out. The 7th Annual Art Crawl is happening Saturday, Sept. 19, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., followed by a rockin’ after party at the Hometown Pizza Cafe with live music from Water Valley’s own Zediker Brothers.

This event is free and family-friendly; please bring your children.

There are 16 stops on the tour this year; seven are new to the Crawl, and all of them are comfortably within walking distance of each other. Half the stops are right on Main Street.

If art isn’t your thing, consider this an opportunity to peek inside nine of the beautiful historic homes of Water Valley and shop at some pretty hip businesses while nibbling delicious finger food, and sipping a glass of wine or lemonade while music wafts through the air from the various crawl locations. It’s a magical night.

Artists participating in this year’s crawl include Cindy Aune, Andi Bedsworth, Elsie Booker, Adrienne Brown-David, Angela G. Clanton, Ed Croom, Pati D’Amico, Cinnamon Foster, Mari Foster, Hanne Gaycken, Vanessa Gilpin, Katrina Geenen, Nicole Gladden, Tommy Goodman, Thomas Grosskopf, Jack Gurner, Peyton Hill, Staci Kellum, Beth Long, Jeff Long, Jessica Lowry, A. Lynn Olson, Debi Rauchle , Susan Richards, Pat Manry Rodigue, Laura Beth Sanders, R. R. Shackleford, Ralph Schmidt, Carol Smith, William Warren, and Brian Williams.

Musicians include Eric Allred, Tyler Keith, Jacob King, G.R. Orndorff, Lauri Stirratt, Grant Thompson, and Matthew and Charlie Zediker.

Crawl maps can be picked up the night of the event from Yalo Studio (303 N. Main Street) or Bozarts Gallery (403 N. Main Street). The event is sponsored by Cinnamon Foster FNP-BC and Yalobusha Medical Clinic, and Lee McMinn/Kessinger Real Estate; with additional support from Turnage Drug Store, B.T.C.
