John Donald Dickey Jr., 61, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at his home in Water Valley. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Tabernacle Cemetery on Highway 32 in Yalobusha County with Bro. Jerry King officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, which is in charge of arrangements.

He was of the Baptist faith and a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid fisherman, loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Sonya Diane Gray of Water Valley, Tanya Michele Howell of Belden, and Johnnie Ann Kelly of Water Valley; two sisters, Connie Sanders of Memphis, Tennessee, and Dawn McGregor of Oxford; four brothers, Ricky Dickey, Mike Dickey, Charles Dickey, and Steven Dickey all of Water Valley; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
