Kenneth Allen Keller, 84 died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, surrounded by love at his home in Oxford. A graveside memorial service will held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Veterans Garden of the Garden of Memories with Bro. Charles Lipe officiating. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Monroe, Louisiana, he lived in Oxford for several years after relocating from California. He was a veteran of the United States Army and graduated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La. He retired from Boeing in Seal Beach, California after a long career in computer securities. He also worked on the Lunar Air Module and the Apollo projects. He was a trophy-winning golfer, enjoyed bowling, slalom racecar driving and sailing around Newport Harbor. He and his “granddog” Scout, were inseparable, often being seen around town together.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Keller and sister, Dorothe Schmidt.
He is survived by his daughter, Kerrie Keller of Oxford; son, Bill Keller of Stockton, California; and several grandchildren.
