OXFORD — Ardith Jean Byrd, 50, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, she had lived in the Batesville area for many years. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Byrd of Batesville; daughters Rachel Byrd and Jennifer Johnson, both of Batesville; son, Jeremy Byrd of Courtland; mother, Maxine Perkins of Tillatoba; sisters, Debbie McFadden of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Karen Chambers of Tillatoba; and six grandchildren.
