OXFORD — Vergie A. Ferguson, 90, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Abbeville Cemetery with Bro. Ken Hanks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Abbeville Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Pickens County, Alabama, she moved to Oxford in 2002. She was a retired appointment secretary with Olan Mills Photography. She was a gifted quilt maker, enjoyed bingo, animals, playing musical instruments and keeping a daily journal.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Johnny B. Dill and James Dill, and sisters, Clothilde Burns, Clarice Brownlee and Ottis “Bibby” Dobbs.

She is survived by a daughter, Angela Rogalski of Abbeville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
