Tula teen killed in wreck
A morning wreck claimed the life of a Tula resident Sunday, after their vehicle went off the side of the road.
Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy was dispatched to County Road 436 at about 9:30 a.m. where a vehicle had gone off the road for unknown reasons.
Austin Henderson, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Kennedy.
Alcohol is not expected to be a factor in the one-car crash, Kennedy said.
The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the wreck. Chief Deputy Scott Mills said an autopsy is being performed on Henderson.
Henderson attended Lafayette County schools. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed hunting, according to his Facebook page.
Funeral services are incomplete with Waller Funeral Home.
