Jonathan “JonJon” Keith Waters, 27, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, in an automobile accident in Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes with the Rev. Eddie Goliday officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Abbeville. Viewing will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford, which is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Waters of Oxford; stepmother Kaleista Gipson of Abbeville; two brothers, Montel Pegues and Montrel Pegues, both of Batesville; six sisters, LaToya Dukes of Oxford, Mariah Pegues and Angela Pegues, both of Batesville, Marie Gipson of Memphis, DeAndra Wilson of Detroit, Michigan and Marilyn Edwards of Itta Bena.
