Teen arrested for sexual battery
A local teen was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a female at a bonfire.
The female reportedly told investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department that on Oct. 17, during a bonfire on County Road 442 in a clearing, Kerriun Kinds, 19, took her to edge of the wood line and sexually assaulted her.
Kinds was picked up on a warrant and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was awaiting a first-appearance bond hearing today.
