SENATOBIA — Alberta W. Carthern, 72, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at her residence in Senatobia. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Bethlehem M.B. Church in Coldwater with burial in New Park Cemetery on Monday. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Felix Cauthen Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Daniels of Oxford and Veronica Rayford of Senatobia; sons, Valentine Janric of Memphis, Tennessee, Ralston Janric of Oxford and Myron Carthern of Albany, Georgia; sisters, Elordia Woodruff of St. Louis, Missouri and Etherine Hughey of Coldwater; brothers, Earnest Whiting of St. Louis, Homer Whiting of Horn Lake, Willie Whiting of Jackson and Russell Whiting of Memphis; 32 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
