In the Mississippi Senate 9 race, incumbent Gray Tollison held onto his seat Tuesday winning the election. Tollison, a Republican, ran against Democrat Cristen Hemmins. Tollison won with 58 percent of the votes. Hemmins garnered about 41 percent of the votes.
