Justin Moore lettin’ the night roll into Oxford
The College Town Throwdown Tour featuring country music artist Justin Moore rolls into Oxford Friday at Foxfore Ranch, just in time for Ole Miss’ huge SEC football game against Arkansas.
The event is rain or shine, and organizers are setting up Friday morning.
This will be the second stop on the tour, sponsored by Coors Light, through five Southern college towns. Previous concerts were held in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Auburn, Alabama. Columbia, South Carolina ,and Tallahassee, Florida also will be host cities on Nov. 13 and Nov. 19, respectively.
Moore, an Arkansas native, is one of four headlining acts on the tour that also includes Lee Brice, Easton Corbin and Joe Nichols.
Moore, the Academy of County Music New Artist of the Year for 2014, is known for his No. 1 country singles “Small Town USA,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “Til My Last Day,” and “Lettin’ the Night Roll.” His latest single “You Look Like I Need a Drink” is steady climbing the country music charts.
Jon Pardi, Brothers Osborne, John King, Buddy Brown and Nate Kenyon will join Moore on stage in Oxford.
Ticket prices are $29 day of the show, but if you use the promo code “REBELS” when purchasing tickets, the price drops to $15. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.collegetownthrowdown.com/oxford.
A free shuttle service will be running near The Blind Pig and The Library Sports Bar on the Square, as well as on the University of Mississippi campus at the Law School parking lot across from the Sigma Nu House beginning at 2 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.
Gates to the venue will open at 3:30 p.m.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. No outside food and beverages will be allowed, but vendors will be on site with food and drinks.
