OXFORD — Jewell Rhea Oliver, 92, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at Oxford Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Black officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Marshall County, she was the widow of Ernest G. Oliver. A member of South Oxford Methodist Church, she was a retired seamstress and skillful gardener. She cherished time spent with her family and loved cooking and gathering for family meals always reserving Wednesday and Sunday for special lunches. She was especially joyful during the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Ernest G. “E.O.” Oliver, Jr. of Oxford; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
