MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Kenneth Esco Carothers, 72, formerly of Water Valley, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Chapel M.B. Church with the Rev. Sidney Towns officiating. Burial will be in New Providence M.B. Church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes and 6-8 p.m. at the church. Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
A retired mechanic with Thermo King and Valley-Fresh, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Carothers.
He is survived by his daughter, Felecia Carothers of Memphis; one granddaughter; and sister, Glennie Pearson of Taylor.
