William D. Driver

OXFORD — William D. Driver, 85, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 30 at Flint Hill M.B. Church with the Rev. Lindsey Sanford officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Beasley Funeral Home of New Albany was in charge of arrangements.
Born in Etta, he professed hope in Christ at an early age and united with Flint Hill M.B. Church where he served as a trustee of the church. He attended the Liberty Hill Grammar and the High School in Etta. After working for the state forestry commission for a number of years, he retired to being a full-time farmer, something he truly loved.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Catherine Driver; his children, Mary Quinn and Morris Driver, both of Jackson, Gregory Driver of Collierville, Tennessee, Dennis Driver of Southaven, Lisa Driver of Bartlett, Tennessee, and Rodney Driver of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Edna Driver-Dupree of Tennessee and Lillie Beatrice Barry of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
