Raymond Joseph Cronin

OXFORD — Raymond Joseph Cronin, 73, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at his home near Oxford. A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Oxford Memorial Cemetery with Bro. John Stewart officiating. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he had lived in the Oxford area for many years. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked at the University of Mississippi as an electronics technician prior to working in manufacturing and manufacturing sales for many years. He belonged to the Society of Manufacturing Raising Engineers. He enjoyed raising cows, farming, and going to his grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Cronin.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cronin of Oxford; daughter, Rana Ramage of Oxford; sisters, Mary Louise Newfield of Warwick, Rhode Island, and Jane Hall of Farmersville, Texas; brothers, Richard Cronin, Kevin Cronin and Christopher Cronin, all of Rhode Island; and three grandchildren.
