OXFORD — Doris Parks Richard, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Ingomar, she was a telephone operator before her retirement. She was a former member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Cathedral of St. Jude, both in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a current member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Oxford.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Anton Richard.

She is survived by her daughters, Theresa Richard and Patricia Hambrick, both of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister, Mary Eddie Davidson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother, James Edward Parks Jr. of Oxford; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
