A modern senior living experience has opened in Oxford, offering a new tradition in care.

The Blake at Oxford, located in the burgeoning Oxford Commons community, will provide a unique offering to seniors and their families throughout North Mississippi.

Cardinal Ventures Inc., based in Ridgeland, developed the 85,000-square-foot community that features suites designed for comfortable, safe and enjoyable living.

The 66 assisted living options include both one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Additionally, The Blake offers 34 Memory Support suites for residents in need of Alzheimer’s and dementia care.

Blake Management Group, LLC (BMG) operates all Blake communities with the goal to ensure residents receive the best care in every market they serve. With locations in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina, Blake-managed communities blend modern Southern sensibilities with compassionate care.

In order to provide constant and consistent care, Blake communities nursing care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, renowned regional chef, Damien Cavicchi, oversees an upscale dining experience with menus specifically tailored to residents’ dietary needs.

The Blake at Oxford and BMG are deeply rooted in hospitality.

“Our leaders have broad experience in both senior living and the hospitality industries, and our developers have designed the community with this worry-free resort model in mind,” said Jeremy Cole, BMG CEO. “As a result, the lives of seniors are enriched by an environment that both promotes healthy living and the highest level of service to our residents.

“I look at every service delivered, every meal served, and every care plan we create for residents through the lens of if it would be good enough for my mother.”

It’s at The Blake that those looking for the best in care and quality of life also will find the best value. This value can certainly be seen in the beauty of The Blake buildings, but even more so in how resident care programming is delivered.

“We use a concierge approach for wellness,” said Glenn Barclay, COO of BMG. “Our Blake team is partnered with local health care networks to create a comprehensive wellness program. Services are at our residents’ fingertips, whether it’s a doctor, medication, home health or physical therapy. It’s all right there in the building.”

The Blake at Oxford opened earlier this month and is now accepting residents.

Potential residents currently have the ability to reserve their preferred unit and take advantage of remaining move-in specials.
