Thomas Alfred Greenway

OXFORD — Thomas Alfred Greenway, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, at his home in Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he was a graduate of Culver Military Academy and attended Colgate University and the University of Michigan. Prior to attending the University of Michigan, he spent three years in the U.S. Army assigned to Germany during the Korean Conflict. In 1955, he married Jean Williamson. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida where they lived for 12 years before moving to Oxford in 2009. He was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Jean Williamson Greenway of Oxford; daughters Elizabeth M. Skinner and Laurel J. Lambert, both of Oxford; son Thomas J. Greenway of Panama City, Florida; brothers Charles Greenway of Panama City, Florida and William Greenway of Oceanside, California; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
