RANDOLPH — Laura Vaughn Parks Phillips, 83, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at Shiloh Cemetery in Oxford with the Rev. David Ard officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Shiloh Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Lafayette Springs, she retired as an assignment clerk for South Central Bell and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with friends, flower gardening and photography. She was of the Baptist faith.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Lee Phillips; a sister, Genera Parks Nelson and two brothers, Jack Parks and William Ross Parks.
She is survived by her niece, Brenda Nelson Hinson of Jackson and several other nieces and nephews.
