A recent listing came out in Vacation Idea Dream Vacation Magazine (http://vacationidea.com) that features the Oxford area.
The online article emphasizes that Oxford is known as a cultural destination, being home to artists, writers, the University of Mississippi and the fabulous Square. It also mentions Oxford having been romanticized by the likes of John Grisham and William Faulkner.
Its 15 top places for people to visit, see and do include:

This is a great, comprehensive list for vacationers and even residents to stumble across while cruising the Web. There’s something for everyone, no matter what their interests are. It gives a variety of arts, outdoors, educational, entertainment and food opportunities that are unique to the L-O-U area. It also is a balance of activities and places that will take people outside the city limits and into Lafayette County.
Oxford Treehouse Gallery owner Vivian Neill was especially pleased to be included on the list and was happy the magazine included destinations in the county.
“We were proud to be included on this list and felt particularly honored since we are located on Fudgetown Road and not in town,” she said.
We encourage you to look up this site and send the link about Oxford on to your friends and family. Maybe there’s something on the list you have not tried out before. Get out and explore our community and enjoy all it has to offer, every portion of it, whether it is the city, county or university.
