ABBEVILLE — Ossie B. Buford, 77,  died Jan. 5, 2016, at Sanctuary  Hospice House in Tupelo.

She is a native of Lafayette County and a homemaker.

Viewing will be held today from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Springfield M.B. Church, with the Rev. Jerry Malone officiating. Burial will folllow in the church cemetery.  Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford  is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Otha “Tobe” Buford of Abbeville; one daughter, Teresa Mathis of Abbeville; three sons, Johnnie Buford, James Buford, Robert Buford, all of Abbeville; one sister, Gracie Carter of Hattiesburg; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin J. Hampton.
