Haley Huey to Matthew Purvis

Mr. and Mrs. David W. Huey of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley Lauren Huey, to Matthew Baxter Purvis, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Baxter Purvis of Oxford.

The couple will exchange vows on June 4, 2016, at Oxford University United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at The Lyric Oxford.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B.L. Griffin, the late Nancy E. Huey, and Mr. and Mrs. William A. Huey, all of Decatur.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, she earned a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders in 2013. In 2015, she received a Master of Science in communication sciences and disorders and is employed as a speech language pathologist in Meridian.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Patrick W. Haley and the late Maudie A. Haley, and Bonnie I. Purvis and the late James E. Purvis, all of Oxford.

A 2013 graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Science in pharmaceutical sciences, he will graduate in May with a Doctor of Pharmacy.
