FNB announces officer promotions

John L. Barrett, president and CEO of FNB Oxford Bank, is has announced the officer promotions recently approved by the Board of Directors.

• Michael Ferris has been promoted to vice president, commercial loan officer.  Ferris joined FNB in 2008 and has worked as a credit analyst and loan officer.  He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance as well as a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking.

Ferris is an active member of First Baptist Church, a graduate of Leadership Lafayette and is involved in a number of other community activities.  He and his wife Kinney have two children, Mary Mac and Tripp.

• Miriam Knight Hobson has been promoted to vice president, business services officer. Joining FNB in 2008, Hobson has worked in the retail, business development and cash management areas of the bank. Hobson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is also a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking and the Leadership Lafayette program.

She and her husband, John, attend Christ Presbyterian Church.

• Misty Fiew has been promoted to vice president, loan operations officer. Fiew joined FNB in 2001 and has worked in the retail and credit areas of the bank.  Fiew earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking. Fiew has two children, Bryce and Tristan.

• Pam Murphree has been promoted to vice president, consumer loan officer.  Murphree joined FNB in 1987.  She has worked in the retail and credit areas for most of her career at FNB, having served as branch manager of the North Lamar branch for many years. She is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she has taught Sunday School for 31 years.

Murphree and her husband Ricky have two children, Brittany and Justin, and three grandchildren.

• Bill Taylor has been promoted to vice president, information technology officer. Taylor joined the bank in 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Mississippi. He serves in the Yocona Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America as member of The Order Of The Arrow and is an assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 45 in Oxford.

He and his wife Sharon are active members of the Oxford Church of Christ and have four children: Mary Margaret, Joseph, Garrett and Jaden.

• Judy McMinn has been promoted to assistant vice president and accounting officer. McMinn joined FNB in 1978 and has worked in the operations and accounting areas.  McMinn is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking. As an active member of Union West Baptist Church, McMinn serves as Sunday school teacher and choir member.

• Margaret King has been promoted to credit officer. King joined FNB in 2003 and has worked in the retail and credit areas of the bank. A graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking, Margaret also earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Mississippi. She and her husband Jay have three sons, Christopher, Gregory and Chance.

• Cheryl Hope has been promoted to operations officer. Hope joined FNB in 1995. She has worked the majority of her career in the bookkeeping and operations area and is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking.  Hope is an active member of Abbeville Baptist Church, where her husband Randy has served as pastor for the past 20 years. She and her husband were involved in the organization of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) for this area. They have two children, Shane and Amanda, and six grandchildren.

• Peyton Atchley has been promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. Atchley joined FNB as controller in 2007 after a career in public accounting.  He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting and master’s degree in taxation. He holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant. Atchley is actively involved in the Oxford community coaching youth sports and is associated with MS Flood soccer and Regents School of Oxford. He is a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he serves as deacon. In his spare time he is an avid outdoorsman. Atchley and wife Emily have four children, Abby, Andrew, William and Harrison.

• Carla Morrisson has been promoted to executive vice president and chief risk officer.  Morrisson joined FNB in 1991 and has worked in the lending, retail and loan operations areas of banking for more than 34 years. She is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking, the National Commercial Lending School, and the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. Morrisson is a current member of the MBA Compliance/Audit Committee. She and her husband, Phillip, have two children, Jenna Cotton and husband Buddy and Randy Morrisson and wife Katie, and one grandchild, Lawson Cotton.

• Kirk Wilburn has joined FNB Tupelo as vice president and commercial loan officer. Wilburn joins FNB with more than 10 years of experience in banking. He is a 2011 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Banking. Wilburn serves on the Board of Hope Unbridled Equestrian Program and is also a active member of St. Luke UMC where he serves on the finance committee and youth council. He, his wife Jennifer, and their two children, Carter and Harper, live in Ecru.

• Susan McCarty has joined FNB Oxford as vice president and assistant controller. McCarty joins FNB with more than 13 years of experience in banking. She earned a bachelors degree in accounting from the Mississippi University for Women and a Masters of Business Administration from Mississippi State University. McCarty  has two children, Demi and T.J.
