OXFORD — Bruce E. Johnson, 52, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Vera Mae Hodges Chapel of Remembrance at Hodges Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael James officiating.

A native of Lafayette County, he is survived by his mother Minnie Mae Johnson of Abbeville; seven sisters, Martha Washington, Dorothy Johnson and Linda Johnson, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lesia Johnson, Florence Williams, Jessie Williams and Peggy Jones, all of Abbeville; six brothers, Bryant Johnson, Karl Johnson and Billy Williams, all of Oxford, Kent Johnson of Wisconsin, Ray Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Joel Williams of Memphis, Tennessee.
