WATER VALLEY — Joseph Robert “Bob” Serra, 53, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at his home in Water Valley. Graveside services will be held today at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Bro. Lynn Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, he grew up in the Chicago area and obtained his EMT certification and worked for an emergency medical company for many years. He later moved back to Water Valley where he made his home for the last several years. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his stepfather, John Tomaras Sr. of Water Valley; stepsister Tina Tomaras of Chicago, Illinois; stepbrother John Tomaras; aunts Helen Chandler of Water Valley and Fay Tidwell of Lafayette County; and a host of cousins.
