Frances Montene King Kisner Sitzlar

OXFORD — Frances Montene King Kisner Sitzlar, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Waller Funeral Home with the Rev. Derek Starnes and the Rev. Dale Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Pine Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-6 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Lafayette County, she was a wife and homemaker for most of her life. She briefly helped to run a Quick Print Shop in Memphis, Tennessee until the death of her spouse in 1983. She was a very active member of Paris Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She was a very proud great grandmother, grandmother, great aunt and aunt. Twice widowed, she never considered herself to have stepchildren or step grandchildren, they were all her own.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Van Curtis Kisner and Charles Franklin Sitzlar, and a stepson, Charles Sitzlar.

Survivors include daughters, Peggy Robertson of Bartlett, Tennessee and Phyllis McLillie of Burlison, Tennessee; son, Mike Kisner of Memphis, Tennessee; stepson, Ted Sitzlar of Loudon, Tennessee; two brothers, Wayne King and Joe King, both of Oxford; five grandsons; three granddaughters and 14 great-grandchildren.
