OPD investigates early-morning burglary
At about 2:53 this morning, Oxford police officers spoke to two people who came into the police department to report someone had broken into their home at Oxford Square Apartments, and stole cellphones and an Xbox while they were at home.
The alleged victims said they were asleep when they heard someone inside their home. They yelled at the suspect to leave at which time the suspect reportedly came upstairs and took both of the victim’s phones.
The suspect took one of the victims downstairs and then took the Xbox before leaving. No one was injured and it is unclear whether a weapon was used.
Anyone with information should call the Detective Division at OPD at 662-232-2400 or Crimestoppers at 662-234-8477.
