Students from public, private and home school are all invited to participate in the Kiwanis Club’s inaugural Double Decker Art Contest.
The Double Decker Art Contest is an opportunity for students third through sixth grades to showcase their thinking skills through art expression. The subject of the student’s artwork is their personal interpretation of the Double Decker Arts and Music Festival.
According to the guidelines, all work must be submitted on the Official Kiwanis Double Decker Contest Entry Form. Art submissions may be done as a painting or drawing and will be judged on originality of design, clarity of theme message and artistic merit. Prizes will be awarded in each grade level. First place winners will receive chicken for a year provided by the local Chick-fil-A restaurant. Second place winners will receive one and a half hours of bowling for up to six people including shoe rentals, one large pizza, and one pitcher of soda along with five $5 game cards, one LazerMaze Challenge and two Malco movie passes. The third Place winners will receive a T-shirt and gift basket from Holli’s Sweet Tooth as well as a $25 gift certificate from Square Books.
