Lafayette County Fireman Taylor Anderson works a house fire in the Cobblestone Park subdivision off of Highway 30 near Oxford on Wednesday. Eight fire engines and 18 firefighters responded to 108 Downing St. for the report of a fire alarm just before noon. Upon arrival there was heavy smoke and fire showing, according to Lafayette County Fire Coordinator Wes Anderson. No one was at home at the time of the blaze, which remains under investigation by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.
