OXFORD — Ruel Clifton Allen Sr., 59, died Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home with Fish Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held today from 11 a.m. until service time at Coleman Funeral Home, which was in charge of arrangements.

Born in Indianola, he was a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed music, hunting, fishing and riding horses. He enjoyed life and was known as a jokester.

He is survived by his wife, Candace Allen of Bruce; daughter Tami DiTomasso of Chicago, Illinois; sons Cliff Allen of New Site and Wayne Allen of Grenada; parents Rankin and Marie Allen of Holcomb; brothers Randy Allen of Starks, Louisiana, Kenny Allen of Brookhaven and Darrell Allen of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters Darlene Goss of Hollandale and Debbie Miles of Jackson, Tennessee.
