The Oxford Police Department responded Monday to Saddle Creek subdivision for a report of a residential burglary. The resident had two laptops stolen. On Tuesday, officers stopped Jarvis Carter, 19, of Oxford and during the stop, conducted a search of his car. The officers discovered the two stolen laptops.

Carter was charged with burglary and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $2,500 bond.
