Fight leads to shooting, arrest
A Raleigh man was arrested Thursday in Smith County after a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Oxford Police Department for his alleged involvement in a recent shooting.
According to investigators, a warrant was issued recently for Trey Miller, 19, for aggravated assault resulting from an incident that happened on March 5 on Hyatt Loop where Miller was inside a home and an argument began. During the argument, Miller allegedly pulled out a gun and fired it inside the home before fleeing the area. No one was hit by a bullet.
After being returned to Oxford, Miller was taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $25,000 bond.
