Felon found in possession of gun
On Sunday, Oxford police officers conducted a traffic stop on Pegues Road. While speaking to the driver and passenger, officers found that the passenger had a firearm inside his waistband.
After checking the passenger’s criminal history, officers found that David Andrew Adams, 24 of Grenada, was a convicted felon.
He was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where he was booked on a $5,000 bond.
