Holland gets president honor at MVSU

Tony Holland, a freshman of Mississippi Valley State University, recently received the president’s Distinguished Scholar medal for the leadership and dedication on campus, while maintaining a 3.80 GPA on a 4.0 scale for a total of 21 hours for the fall 2015-2016 semester.
Holland, former Charlie Horse Mascot and Oxford High School class president for 2015, is a member of New Hope M.B. Church and works at Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity House and Oxford Park Commission. He also is a recipient of several scholarships: Clear Core Inc., Greg Gillom, Odds Fellow Masonic and WT Houston. Holland is pursuing a degree in education, and said, “The key to success is consistency.”
