OXFORD — Derrick Antwone White, 38, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his residence in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tallahatchie Oxford Missionary Baptist Church Association Building with the Rev. John Crowder officiating. Viewing will be held on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. with family hour from 5-6 p.m. in the Vera Mae Hodges Chapel of Remembrance at Hodges Funeral Homes of Oxford, which is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Lafayette County, he was a 1996 graduate of Oxford High School and operations manager for Love’s Travel Stop.
He is survived by his wife, Ariel Griffin-White of Oxford; father and stepmother, Leon and Vickie White of Oxford; daughters Camryn White of Ridgeland and Makayla Lipsey of Oxford; sons Derek White of Abbeville and Xavier Lipsey of Oxford; sister Niki Frierson of Oxford; brothers Dariet Price, LeAundre White and Jamarious White, all of Oxford.
