MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Earnest Lee Carothers, 62, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Tobby Tubby M.B. Church with the Rev. Lee Earl Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and family hour from 5-6 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Homes, which is in charge of arrangements.

A native of Lafayette County, he was a retired custodian for the Oxford School District.

He is survived by his son Adrian B. Wilkins of Killeen, Texas; sister Mary Howard of Oxford; and two grandchildren.
